Cuddly Esme is THE most adorable Akita girly who adores people and is an all round good girl. Esme arrived with us in one of the most neglected states we’ve ever seen – after many months, she is now doing so well and is ready to find her ‘happy ever after’. We do not know her age as she was a stray, and her terrible condition made it tough to estimate her age – we now think she’s around 8 years old – not a giddy young dog, but not a slow ploddy old lady! Esme is a superstar – she is really laid back, more than happy to be left for a few hours (she just sleeps!), she’s housetrained and now travels well. Esme is good with children and can be rehomed with children aged 8+. She is hit and miss with other dogs – she doesn’t like unknown dogs running up to her, but does now have some dog friends on her walks now that she knows them. She would need to be the only pet in the home. Esme walks brilliantly on her lead and really enjoys getting out and about. We really cannot express how special this girl is – she’s been through SO much, yet still loves people (even the vet!) – she could not deserve to find her forever home more.
