Meet Alvin the super sweet Lurcher who is approx 2-3 years old! He is probably Saluki x Whippet x Greyhound. Alvin arrived with us from a stray kennels where he was nervous and shy, he is now living in a foster home where he’s doing really well and gained lots of confidence. He gets on well with other dogs, and really needs to live with another sighthound/other dogs to give him confidence. He is also cat, duck, chicken and goat friendly! Alvin has clearly had a rough start to life, it seems like he has never been in a house before, and everything was new and a bit stressful for him in the home. He is now housetrained, and has really relaxed in the house – he’s a typical Lurcher who loves to have mad playful moments, but then is very lazy around the house and loves to lounge around! He needs a home where he will not be left for long, he is OK to be left for a couple of hours once settled into a new home as long as he has other dogs for company. Alvin walks nicely on the lead, and travels fine in the car (but does need to be lifted in!). Alvin really is a fab boy who has come on in leaps and bounds, he ideally needs a home with some sighthound experience to carry on with his confidence building, and to then keep his giddy Lurcher side in check!
