Daphne the Daxi is such a lovely little character. She is a Standard Dachshund (not Mini!) weighing just over 10kg who is approx 4-5 years old and came to us as a stray, having sadly produced pups for someone in the past. Despite her past, she adores people and is the sweetest little lady. She is spotlessly clean and tidy in her kennel, so appears to be fully housetrained. She will be OK being left for a few hours as she shows no anxiety being left. Daphne is quite vocal around other dogs, but once allowed to meet a dog, she will greet them, but prefer not to interact too much. We think she will be happiest as the only dog in her home, so all attention can be on her. She will need direct access to a secure garden where she cannot see out (solid fencing), so she can relax and not worry about passers by. We’d love to find her a breed knowledgeable home, but this is not essential – a family who want to rescue a dog in need is most important for little Daphne.
