Mr Blue eyes aka Dexter the Staffy cross is looking for a home who loves walking as much as he does! Dexter is 8 yrs young and is part Husky, which is where he gets his beautiful blue eyes from – he is Staffy sized and has the most beautiful blonde tiger brindle coat! He’s now making up for lost time with his walks now he’s in our care – he had to be relinquished into our care by his owner who couldn’t give him what he needed. He’s a lovely, friendly, intelligent boy who is thriving in his foster home. He is fully housetrained and can be left alone for a few hours, so would be absolutely fine with owners who worked, as long as his exercise needs are met. He is generally OK with other dogs out and about, but can be a bit ‘excitable’ with dogs (he will be neutered shortly!), and would (understandably) react back if a dog reacted to him. He is used to being the only pet, so we would like him to find a home with no other pets. He is happy with visiting children, but living with children may over excite him a bit – he does really well with a calmer environment as he’s quite easily worked up. Dexter can be a bit ‘whingey’ if he’s waiting, thinks he’s being ignored or is excited, but it’s part of his character! He’s such a fab boy who so deserves to find someone to be his best buddy to join him on lots of lovely walks and adventures. Please don’t be put off by his age – he is very fit and well!
