Dottie is a total sweetheart, she is a steady middle aged Staffy x Collie lady who we know will make someone the most loving companion. Dottie really is a dream to look after and has been very well trained. She is housetrained, doesn’t chew, knows plenty of commands, is very gentle and doesn’t pull at all on the lead, or jump up. Dottie adores people and we’d love to find her a home where she won’t be left for too long, but she would be fine for a few hours. She needs a secure garden where she can play with her beloved tennis ball! Dottie hasn’t been tested around children, so needs a home with older children at the moment, a quieter home would suit this gentle girl best we think. She is OK around other dogs, she may be a bit anxious around some more confrontational dogs, but on the whole she has been fine with dogs she’s met since being with us. We think she may want to live as the only dog, but could potentially live with a calm friendly male dog with a successful introduction. Dottie really is very special, we all adore her, and can’t wait to find her a forever home who will adore her just as much as we do here at the rescue.
