Sweet Fig needs a very patient and understanding Sighthound savvy quiet home. She is 18 months old and the most adorable scruffy medium sized Lurcher who came to us as a stray. Poor Fig is petrified of people – she is totally non aggressive, even when she’s so scared, but just wants to shy away and ‘escape’ from people – it’s heartbreaking. The only time she’s come out of her bed is if we have other dogs with us in the kennels – she wants to come and interact with dogs, and this will be key to gaining her trust in humans. She MUST live with the right dog/s in her new home for her confidence and happiness – ideally other Sighthounds, as this will be who she is used to being with. Fig will need a quiet environment with caring, patient owners who will allow her the time she needs to trust her humans. We are sure there’s a cheeky, playful young Lurcher just waiting to come out when she feels brave enough, we just have to find her the right environment, and right canine friends to bring her out of her shell for crazy Lurcher zoomies!
