Little Lulu is such a character! She is a small Crossbreed (possibly Pug x Terrier) who is 2.5 yrs old. Sadly Lulu’s owner passed away – she has clearly been very loved and found her loss overwhelming initially – she was very frightened and would tremble and hide, but thankfully it hasn’t taken her long at all to find her feet and show us her true personality! And what a personality she has! Lulu is now FULL of beans! She is super excitable when she comes out of her kennel and will try to burn off her energy with zoomies on our off lead area. She does pull a bit when walking on lead as she is keen to get walking, but this will improve as she settles into a good routine and walks aren’t so exciting. Once Lulu knows you, she wants to sit on your knee and give as many kisses as she can – she will bond very quickly to someone, and will be a little shadow initially. Understandably given what she’s recently been through, she may not be happy to be left alone to start with, but she does settle in her kennel, so we think that with some time, she could build up the time she can be left alone. She is totally clean in her kennel, and always waits to be taken out, so she appears to be housetrained, and she knows some basic commands. Lulu has not shown any interest in other dogs – we suspect that she hasn’t mixed with other dogs much before, and think that she would be happiest as the only dog, but we wouldn’t rule out trying her with a calmer smaller dog. She is such a sweet, funny, giddy little girl who needs to be back in a home and bonding with her new family as soon as possible.
