Sweet Matilda is the kindest soul, who may never have known love before, so she’s got a lot of making up to do! She has an adorable ‘happy dance’ where she tippy taps on her feet and will wiggle around with soft toys in her mouth. Matilda is approx 8 yrs old and is a medium-large sized Crossbreed – a ‘Bullbreed x Lurcher’ mix. She is very steady – she never jumps up and is very easy on the lead. Matilda spent almost a year in authority kennels as part of a welfare case, and thankfully was released into our care, so she finally has a chance to find a home where she can be shown what love is all about. Due to her past, she will need a little patience to settle into a home, but she will soon learn what home comforts are all about! She will need direct access to a secure garden. Matilda is happiest when other dogs ignore her, and she will do the same – if she is barked at, she will have a bit of a bark back. We think she will be happiest being the only pet in her new home. She will not need a very active lifestyle as she has some arthritis in her front legs (most likely early onset from her past living conditions/life), but does love to get out for a good sniff and stroll! Matilda really is a girl who needs ‘rescuing’ – she is not a ‘popular’ breed type – she is not a young girl – she carries the scars of her past life, but she really couldn’t be more deserving of finding out what being in a loving home is all about.
