Trixie is an absolute darling who is searching for the perfect retirement home. She is 13 yrs old and could not be sweeter if she tried – just look at that beautiful grey face! Trixie is very friendly, gentle and well behaved. She is very good with other dogs and can happily live with another friendly calmer dog. She can’t live with cats though! She is housetrained, fine to be left for a few hours and travels well. As you would expect with an older dog, she has some arthritis in her hip, which limits the amount of exercise she can comfortably do, so she’s more of a short stroll kind of girl rather than long walks. She cannot walk up stairs (but happily sleeps downstairs overnight) and needs helping up onto the sofa, or into the car. We can advise how best to manage her arthritis, but non slip surfaces are very important for her, joint supplements would be great too! Our vet has also suggested that hydrotherapy sessions would also really benefit her. Trixie is a very special girl with such a wonderful nature, she deserves the very best retirement after being abandoned as a stray in her twilight years.
