Arlo is a 2-3 yr old Pointer cross who is looking for a special home. Please read his advert carefully, as he needs an experienced and knowledgable home. Arlo is very active, and must find an active home who can give him the exercise he needs – he would love to find a running/hiking buddy. He also is very intelligent, and needs mental stimulation to keep his mind busy – both mental and physical exercise are so important for his wellbeing. He is bouncy, cheeky and very loveable! Arlo shows some mild resource guarding with toys/food/his bed, this improves as he trusts his people, and is very managable/workable but new adopters must understand about this and he cannot live with children. He needs a very secure garden with solid boundaries. Arlo can live with a female dog who won’t challenge him, or as the only pet. No cats! He needs ongoing lead work as he is strong on the lead at the moment, and is reactive on lead to dogs/bikes. He would suit living in a quiet more rural area and wouldn’t suit a home in a city/town. Arlo was born in Spain and arrived into the UK after being at risk of losing his life in a Spanish pound. He sadly has Leishmania, and is now on medication for this. Arlo is a very special boy, looking for an equally special home – he has SO much potential and just needs to find that right family who understand him and can give him all he needs.
