Duke the Mastiff is such a big softie! He is still a big baby at approx 1 yr old and is currently around 35kg in weight, so not a giant boy, but he does have a bit of filling out to do. Duke is very soft and can be a bit of a scaredy cat who likes to carry his teddies with him on his walks. It seems like he’s not seen much of the big wide world yet, so new places can be a bit overwhelming to him, but he soon finds his feet and is doing really well. Duke is now in a foster home, and will be having surgery to fix his cherry eye very soon. He has been clean in the home, and thinks he is a lapdog who is blossoming into a playful big goofy pupster! He can cry a bit when he’s first left, but does settle down. Duke has enjoyed meeting other dogs, and we feel that living with a larger breed female would do him a lot of good. He is still very much like a big puppy who needs some guidance, but does have the ‘basics’ in place already. As we have no history for Duke, we can’t place him in a home with children under 12. We would love to find Duke a large breed loving home who can continue his training and confidence building to help him mature into a well rounded, happy boy.
