Fern is an absolutely lovely scruffy medium – large size Crosbreed (possibly Lurcher x Terrier x German Shepherd?) who is approx 4 yrs old. She is a really friendly girl, and bonds very strongly with her people. We know she has lived happily with cats in the past. She has lived with another dog and walks well alongside other dogs, but doesn’t seem to have many manners when offlead around dogs and is very full on to begin with, so could live with a tolerant, more submissive male dog. Fern is fully housetrained and travels well. She is quite strong on lead at first, but settles well into a walk and then walks nicely. She will need a very secure garden (6ft fences), as she can be an escape artist! She can also open doors in the house! We think she’ll need a home where she won’t be left for very long. Fern has spent a long time in kennels through no fault of her own and needs a caring home who can build her fitness back up slowly as she has had little exercise for a long time. She could live with children aged 8+.
