Hawkins is a 7 yr old Old Tyme/American Bulldog who is absolutely gorgeous. He ideally needs to find a home who have experience with his breed type, and/or are confident with ‘stubborn’ larger breeds. He has his quirks, and just needs someone to understand them/him. Hawkins is brilliant around the house – fully housetrained, doesn’t chew and is more than happy to be left alone, so he would happily suit an owner who works. Hawkins gets himself worried when he’s out on walks, and will often refuse to walk and just want to get back home/to the car – he CANNOT be pushed to walk – he is more than happy staying home and having a play in the garden. He does not suit an active home who aren’t looking for a dog to take on big walks and adventures – he’s a home bird! On days that he does fancy a walk, he is great to walk, and good with dogs out and about. Hawkins loves his food, and his toys, but doesn’t like to share them with others, so he needs a child and pet free home. He just needs space when eating/when he has a toy, and doesn’t like being ‘made’ to get off a bed etc – this is very easy to manage and he is doing great in his foster home with no issues at all. He is really such a lovely, easy going boy who would like to find an equally laid back home to chill out in!
