Maisie is 18 months old and is very much still a big, bouncy puppy! She is a large American Bulldog, possibly cross Mastiff and is absolutely gorgeous with her big floppy ears. She was abandoned as a stray, so we have no history about her other than her date of birth as she was already microchipped. We presume that she had become too big and bouncy for whoever had bought her as a cute little puppy. She is very friendly, but ‘too’ friendly with people and does jump up a lot and is very over excitable and boisterous with her greetings! She has now been in kennels for over 4 months, which is such a long time for such a young girl, and she really does need to move into a home environment as soon as possible. Maisie has SO much potential and has a lot of the basics. She is spotlessly clean in her kennel, so appears to be housetrained, she settles very well on her own and shows no signs of seperation anxiety. She travels well, she listens to her handler well and works very well for food. Maisie walks quite well on the lead, but being a large breed, she can be strong at times if something takes her attention away, so needs a bit of work with this, but she is not a difficult girl to walk at all for someone who is used to bigger/bull breeds. She needs a calm environment to help her be her best self – too much excitement would not help her learn to find her inner calm! Maisie needs a calm, confident person to guide her through her ‘teenage’ phase and help her mature into a well rounded girl – she really has so much potential and just needs the right person to show her the way.
