Beau is a beautiful grey coloured Collie type Crossbreed who is approx 4 yrs old. He came to us from an organisation in Romania, where he had been saved from a horrendous life, we have no idea what he’s been through but he has a big scar on his back and he clearly has had some awful experiences in the hands of people. Beau is now living in a foster home and learning to trust. He is fantastic in the home – totally clean, loves his crate (his ‘safe space’, doesn’t chew and is fine to be left for 4-5 hrs a time (he would be suitable for people who work as long as he could be let out for a lunch time wee!). He is understandably very nervous of people he doesn’t know, he loves his family, but doesn’t like strangers coming into ‘his’ home, so needs to be introduced to new people on neutral territory and need to be given lots of space to get to know and trust new people. Beau is living with 2 female dogs in his foster home who he gets on well with, but he doesn’t get along with male dogs. He cannot be rehomed with children. He is a little nervous of walking on a lead, but is getting used to it now and walks quite nicely on the lead. Beau is looking for a really special home who have knowledge and experience of dogs who have issues with strangers. He is such a sweet boy with loads of character when he knows his ‘people’ and so deserves to find an understanding forever home who will give him a chance after all he’s been through.
