Lovely Chester is a gorgeous Staffy cross who has just turned 4 yrs old and is such a friendly boy with so much love to give. Chester was with us for months last year, and finally found a home, but has sadly been returned due to his issues around other dogs. This has really confused poor Chester and we are desperate to find him a stable, caring home ASAP so that he isn’t waiting for so long a second time around. He is great with all people, including children, and can live with children aged 6+. He can be bouncy and has plenty of energy so would love a home where he gets plenty of good walks and play time, he also loves to learn new things and is really responsive to training. He now walks very well on a lead if walked in a confident manner, and is good off the lead if there are no distractions. He also knows lots of commands, is housetrained, travels well and is OK to be left for a few hours (he doesn’t chew anything he shouldn’t). He gets anxious when he sees other dogs on his walks, and will pull to them and react if they run up to him, so he’s best walked in a muzzle just in case there are any dogs who run over to him. We have had him relaxed and walking alongside other dogs, but he needs to live as the only dog in an understanding home as he just doesn’t want to mix with dogs, this is most likely due to bad experiences he has had in his past, and really doesn’t make him a ‘bad’ dog, he is the most loving boy with people. He will make a fantastic dog in the right home, ideally we are looking for a home who have had Staffys before and who can give him plenty of attention and exercise. Please don’t be put off him because he doesn’t get on with other dogs, he has sooo much love to give and Chester really is all the dog you’d ever need!!
