Meet Matty!! What a little character this boy is!! Matty is a 3-4 yr old Lhasa type cross who is looking for a very experienced, confident, child free home due to his dislike of strangers. It takes a little while to win Matty over (treats help!!), but once you have his heart, he is the most loyal dog you could wish to meet and only has eyes for ‘his’ person! Matty is so bright and intelligent, he loves his walks, loves to play and also loves his cuddles (on his terms!). He needs an owner who will keep his mind busy and train him as he is very eager and willing to learn. Matty is very well behaved in his kennel – he is housetrained, doesn’t chew at all and is fine to be left for a few hours, he also travels well. He isn’t bothered at all by other dogs, but we feel he would like to be the only dog for now. He will need a very secure garden ideally where he can’t see out as he will guard ‘his’ home from strangers passing! He will need management around doors (we imagine he will not take kindly to the Postman!) and also careful management around visitors to the home. Matty is best introduced to people on neutral territory, he needs people to ignore him and not to rush him into interacting as this is what triggers him into reacting negatively. He is one special dog who we know will thrive in the right home, it will take a few meet and greets with Matty before he would be ready to go home with anyone, but he is so worth it!
