Big Scooby the Mastiff is the most lovely, daft goofball! He is only 12-18 months old, but at 48kg, is a BIG boy who needs a home who have large breed experience and enough room for a clumsy big ‘puppy’! He is such a friendly boy who is a real softie. Scooby is fantastic in his kennel – very clean, quiet, chilled out and loves his bed! It is clear that he hasn’t seen much of the outside world, so everything on walks is very exciting, but a little bit scary to Scoobs bless him. Even stepping on a twig makes him jump. He will need ongoing work to build his confidence and improve his lead walking. Scooby isn’t small animal friendly, but has lived with a female dog in the past, and could be introduced to a larger neutered female with the correct careful intros. He is a handful on walks around other dogs, but we feel this is frustration and over excitement, not aggression. He will need a strong, confident handler for walks and will need plenty of guidance to improve his lead walking in time. He really will make a fantastic dog in the right hands and has so much potential – he is wasted in kennels.
