Blossom the 6-7 yr old Pug cross (probably Cavalier) arrived in our care from a stray kennels where she was totally shut down and would not interact with anyone. She is now in a foster home with other dogs who have given her a lot of confidence and is doing well. She needs to live with at least 1 other confident dog of a similar size to her, she seems to love other Pugs! She is also fine with cats. Blossom is still very unsure with new people and will not go up to people she doesn’t know, she is too nervous to live with children and needs a quiet home where she can keep building her confidence. She is good around the house and will be OK to be left for a few hours once she has settled as long as she has another dog for company, but she did take a couple of weeks to settle in and would howl when left alone to begin with. Blossom needs direct access to a secure garden in her new home. We’d like her to live in a quieter area rather than in a busy built up location and are ideally looking for a home who have some experience of nervous dogs.
