Little 11 yr old Staffy Matilda is looking for her perfect retirement home. She is such a sweetheart who is a steady girl and is looking for a home where she’ll get lots of company, snoozes and only very short potters out and about to enjoy and take in all the smells. She is a bit wobbly on her legs, so isn’t one for a very active lifestyle. Matilda is housetrained, does not pull on the lead and is OK travelling (she likes to be in the front!). She arrived with us in terrible condition – she is doing so well now and her fur is growing back, she has been spayed and her large lump removed. She may be prone to ear infections and itchy skin in future, and would benefit from a grain free hypoallergenic diet, regular ear cleaning, supplements such as salmon oil for her skin and joint supplements (we can give advice on this) – all to keep her in good health and feeling happy and healthy. Matilda loves to be warm and cosy, and loves wearing a jumper to sleep in! She has been OK with other dogs as long as they are polite and not too boisterous with her, and we would consider placing her with a steady older male dog, and we would consider a trial with a confident cat. She really doesn’t like being ‘shut away’ from any goings on, and will sing the song of her Staffy people if she’s in a crate, or shut away – she’s just needs free run of the house and to be with her people (who can blame her!). This very special little old girl needs to find a 5* rescue home who know and love senior Staffys and the care they need where she will get all the TLC and love she so deserves.
