George the 8-9 year old Golden Retriever is looking for a very special, understanding home ASAP. He is the most gentle boy who is brilliant with other dogs, cats and everyone he meets. He is very well behaved – fully housetrained, great on/off lead, loves to go on trips in the car! George does need to find a home where he won’t be left on his own for very long at all, he can only cope being left on his own if he has the company of another dog, so we are looking for a home with another friendly calmer dog for him. He does need to sleep in the bedroom with his owners at night, otherwise he panics and gets himself upset. Sadly, George has recently has a biopsy of a lump that he has on his front leg and the results weren’t what we were hoping for and he has been diagnosed with cancer. At the moment, George is unaffected by this, and is really enjoying life, which we hope will continue for as long as possible, but we need to make all potential families who are interested in adopting George that he may not have many years ahead of him. We are hoping there is a family out there who will offer him a forever home despite his health, as he couldn’t deserve it more.
