Ben is a lovely, gorgeous Jack Russell cross who is 7 years old, but still very much full of energy and life! He is sadly looking for a new home due to his previous owner becoming too ill to care for him. He is living in a foster home in the Barnsley area currently. Ben is very well behaved around the house – he is fully housetrained, sleeps well downstairs at night and is fine to be left for a few hours. He does love company, having a fuss and being stroked on the sofa. He really enjoys his walks and walks fine on a harness when he gets going – he’s fine off lead, but does run up to other dogs to say hello if given a chance! He gets on fine with other dogs out and about but doesn’t like sharing food/toys round dogs, so probably would be happiest as an only dog or with a laid back female. His favourite game in the world is playing fetch with a tennis ball, or squeaky toy – he could play for hours! Ben is protective of his house when new people visit, and will bark at visitors, but if ignored, he settles down! Ben will need a home with no children, and no young visiting children. He is in perfect health, so please don’t be put off that he’s more of a middle aged gent! Can you help Ben?
