Ernie the Jack Russell is looking for a home who know and love his breed. He is an older boy who is around 10 yrs young – he certainly does not act older, though and has tons of energy and absolutely loves playing fetch with his toys (which he is an expert at and will drop the ball at your feet every time!). Ernie is great around the house – he is housetrained and OK to be left for a few hours. He walks OK on the lead, but in typical terrier fashion, he is keen to be off chasing small furries, so needs to be kept on a lead on his walks and needs a fully secure garden! Ernie is OK around other dogs, but will not tolerate a dog having a go at him and will react back. He would be happiest as the only dog, but could live with a very laid back female dog in an experienced home used to his breed! Ernie needs a child free home – he prefers a hands off kind of owner as he can be quite an independent boy who doesn’t like to be messed around with, but once he knows you he has an affectionate side and enjoys a cuddle. He will be a lovely and very loyal dog who just needs to find that right person who understands Terrier quirks!
