Monty the Chihuahua needs to find a special family who will give him the time he needs to feel comfortable without overwhelming him. He is THE sweetest, clever little boy who will do anything for a tasty treat, but he needs a gentle ‘hands off’ approach at first. Monty is around 6-8 years old and has sadly lived a sheltered life – we know he hasn’t left his home for at least the past 3 years, so it’s no wonder he is nervous of having a lead on and going out into the big wide world. We have taken it very slowly with him, and he will now let us put a collar and lead on him, but he is still VERY nervous of being out, and must not be pushed. Because of this, Monty will need a home where he will have direct access to a private, secure garden. He is very clean and well behaved in his kennel and now comes to us asking for a cuddle and fuss. He hasn’t been fully ‘dog tested’ due to his nerves, and we feel a pet free home would be best for him at this stage. Monty needs a quiet, child free home with an experienced, patient owner – he will repay you tenfold with so much love and loyalty.
