Emma is a gorgeous, unusual looking 3 yr old Crossbreed – possibly Rottie x Collie type? She is around the size of a Lab. Emma is quite a sensitive soul and is finding life in kennels quite stressful. She is very frightened of some men, we don’t know what has happened in her past to make her like this, but she is much more trusting of women and is a really affectionate, bouncy girl when she knows you. Emma has been fine with other dogs she’s been around since being with us and could live with a calmer male dog, she can also live with confident cats with careful introductions. She absolutely loves her walks and after some initial pulling on the lead she settles down and walks nicely. She knows some basic commands and is fully housetrained. We don’t think she would cope being left on her own for very long, so wouldn’t suit homes who work full time. Emma needs a very secure garden as she is likely to be a bit of an escape artist. She travels well in the car. Emma would love to find a calm, caring family who can offer the security she needs to feel safe and settled. Experience with guarding/larger breeds would be ideal as she may have a tendency to be protective over her owners in future if allowed.
