Charlie is a real character and is looking for a home who know and love Westies! He is a 6 year old Westie who hasn’t had the best of starts to life. He came to us suffering with awful skin and painfully infected ears and eyes, which he was in lots of pain with. He’s been with us in a foster home for a while now and his condition has improved a lot, but he will probably always need to have eye drops. We have a full vet history for Charlie, which can be passed on to his future owners vets. Charlie is a typical little terrier – very friendly and loving, but with a big character and he doesn’t like being ‘messed’ around with – he definitely needs a child free home as he is uncomfortable around children and will snap. Charlie is living with other dogs with no real issues, but he can be dominant, he could live with laid back dogs, but ideally no male dogs. He definitely can’t live with any cats/small furries – typical terrier! Charlie is a happy little chappy with plenty of zest for life and he enjoys his walks and getting out and about. He travels well in the car and is also crate trained. He can be left for a few hours, but does get stressed when people leave the house and can try to nip ankles, we would prefer a home where he will not be left for too long. Charlie really needs a forever home who will love him, and commit to keeping his skin allergies under control in future. He is on a grain free diet currently, which seems to be helping him, he may also do well on a raw diet. He will make a fantastic companion and is guaranteed to make his new family smile! If you have experience with terriers, please consider Charlie – he really deserves a loving forever home.
