Sooty is a smaller sized Shih Tzu who is nearly 9 years old. He is KC registered and is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Sooty is in good health, he just needs his eyes cleaning daily. Sooty is quiet until he knows you, he has been recently taken into our care from his elderly owner who was no longer able to care for him. Its been a big change for poor Sooty but he’s now settling well in his foster home. Sooty is wary of new people and will have a growl/snap if strangers are too overbearing with him – he needs to come to new people in his own time. When he knows you, he likes to sit by your feet and have a stroke, and also likes to sit on your knee but doesn’t like to be bothered too much. He is housetrained (may have some accidents while he is settling in) and is no bother at all around the house. He still really enjoys his walks, and would love a quiet home where he will have plenty of company and be able to enjoy a couple of gentle walks a day. Sooty is looking for a child free home, with no visiting children (or the ability to seperate him from visiting children). He is living with other dogs at the moment, he isn’t bothered by dogs either way, he could potentially live with another quiet smaller dog, but would also be happy on his own. He really deserves to find his perfect retirement home ASAP, his life has been turned upside down recently and we’d love for him to be settled in a new home this winter.
